One of Toronto’s most festive Christmas pop-up bars is returning for another year, and they’ve already announced the opening date–even though it’s not even Halloween yet.
Miracle is a themed bar that pops up annually in Toronto, transforming an ordinary space into a Christmas wonderland with all kinds of tinsel, lights, wrapping paper and decorations.
The pop-up bar is run by the people behind Civil Liberties, one of Toronto’s (and the country’s) best cocktail bars, so you know the drinks will actually be good. Also, it’s all for a good cause: $1 from every drink sold is donated to Nellie’s Women’s Shelter. So far, Miracle Toronto has donated over $230,000 to Nellie’s.
Drinks on the menu include festive options like the Jingle Balls Nog, Crooked Antler, Christmapolitan, Snowball Old-Fashioned, Stocking Stuffer, Rudolph’s Replacement, Koala La La La, Naughty & Nice Shots, Hot Buttered Rum and mulled wine. There are also non-alcoholic options like hot chocolate and hot apple cider. Bar bites will be provided by Courage Cookies and Electric Bill.
New this year is the ability to actually make reservations for Miracle in advance. You can even get a free light-up beanie, welcome glass of prosecco and popcorn by booking through OpenTable. Never fear, though, as tables are always available for walk-ins. Also new this year, Santa will be making a special appearance at Miracle, and there will be a new cocktail on the menu called the Christmasaurus.
There will also be other events taking place at the pop-up while it’s open, including drag performances and family workshops.
When you’re heading out, you can also take a little piece of Miracle home with you or as a gift for someone else. They’ll have festive mugs, glassware and merch for sale, there will be a mini bottle shop selling ready-to-drink cocktails.
Miracle will be transforming event venue Third Place at 875 Bloor St. W. into a winter fantasy this year.
“Our goal is to create the ultimate Christmas destination where friends, family and colleagues can come together and connect over delicious Christmas-inspired cocktails and a joyful atmosphere. We are so happy to be back and to be bringing even more festive fun for our guests–appearances from Old Saint Nick himself and kid-friendly events!” said Nick Kennedy, partner at Team Civil, in a press release.
Miracle Toronto is popping up from Nov. 15 to Dec. 29.
