Howard Jones brings tour to Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts

Things can only get better this month in Oakville for fans of Howard Jones.

The British synthpop musician who hit fame in the 1980s with hits like “Things Can Only Get Better”, “What is Love” and his smash hit “No One Is to Blame” will be taking the stage at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts on Wednesday Sept. 27.

The Howard Jones Acoustic Trio will perform an intimate stripped-down night though Howard’s 40-year music career.

The trio features Howard on electric piano, Robin Boult (Roger Daltry, Dave Stewart, Fish) on acoustic guitar and Nick Beggs (Kajagoogoo, Belinda Carlisle, John Paul Jones) on chapman stick.
Jones will perform his best-known its, all with a fresh take. Concert goers will also hear first-hand about the inspiration behind his material and stories from his touring career.

The show gets underway at 8 p.m. at the AEG Liebherr Auditorium. All tickets are $120 each.
