A chain of clothing stores with locations across India just opened their first ever Canadian location in Brampton.
Soch retails through over 175 brand outlets in 68 cities, and sells clothing that combines culturally traditional Indian wear with contemporary fashion influences.
With origins that stretch back to 2005, their products include sarees, kaftans, ready-to-stitch lehengas, kurtas, tunics, dress materials and what they call “Indo-western attire.” They’re known for their high quality fabrics, ornate detail work, and wide selection of options with thousands of styles.
The chain first teased on social media that they’d be opening in Brampton in late April, with the location officially opening in early May. MP of Brampton West and Minister of Diversity Kamal Khera visited the store when it opened.
Retail Insider reports that the new Brampton store measures about 1,250 square feet, and that Soch hopes to open more Toronto stores as well as stores in Vancouver, Montreal, the United States and Malaysia, with plans to have three locations in Canada within the next two years.
Soch is now open in Brampton at 2760 North Park Dr.
