Last Ribfest of the season hits Toronto

Summer is a season of Ribfests, and there’s one last one coming up for a final sendoff to the annual tradition.

The 3rd Annual Etobicoke Ribfest 2024 will feature five top North American rib teams: Brick Yard BBQ, Silver Bullet, Camp 31, Sticky Fingers and Billy Bones BBQ.

BBQ meats on offer will include BBQ smoked ribs and giant beef “dino” ribs, as well as smoked brisket, BBQ chicken, smoked sausage and pulled pork.

As for other foods, there will also be bloomin’ onions, poutine and roasted corn, plus Tiny Tom’s mini donuts and funnel cake for dessert. Of course, you can wash it all down with a frosty beer at the beer garden. Non-alcoholic drink options will include slushies, lemonade and old fashioned soda pop.

Entertainment will be provided by tribute bands playing AC/DC, The Tragically Hip and Bob Marley, as well as local bands.

The event is pet-friendly, and will take place at Colonel Samuel Smith Park at 3145 Lake Shore Blvd W. Admission is free with a $5 suggested charitable donation.

Etobicoke Ribfest takes place from Sept. 20 to 22.
