Friday looks to be one of the best days of the week in Toronto.
Sunny skies are forecast and there could be a good chance to see the total lunar eclipse very early Friday morning.
The nearly full moon will start to move into the Earth’s shadow at 11:57 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) on Thursday, according to Space.com. It will be in peak total eclipse at 2:59 a.m.
There should be “a few clouds” overnight, according to latest forecast from Environment and Climate Change. So, those willing to get up early may see the eclipse. The moon should take a reddish hue and is referred to as a “blood moon”.
The rest of the day is expected to be sunny and clear. Temperature highs will reach around 11 C. The low could get down to 7 C in the evening.
March 14 is also Pi Day as the numbers 3, 1, and 4 are the three most significant figures of π in its decimal representation. Toronto pizza places often offer $3.14 deals on this day.
Enjoy the sunny skies, clouds and rain are expected to move in on the weekend.
