Massive immersive VR exhibit coming to downtown Toronto this week

A massive exhibit built on VR technologies has arrived, as Arcadia Earth’s VR Experience is debuting in downtown Toronto this week.

Showcasing dreamlike environments, Arcadia Earth takes attendees through a series of vistas built on several different forms of integrated technology.

According to Arcadia Earth’s website, the virtual gallery was founded by experimental technologies designer Valentino Vettori and is built on the foundation of portraying never-before-seen aspects of the planet to promote sustainability on a global scale.

While some installations may seem familiar, Arcadia Earth also delves into the fantastical, as many of the environments shown are underwater worlds, fantasy lands and reimagined aspects of the planet we call home.

As for how it’s done, each exhibition is achieved via immersive technology, augmented reality, virtual reality, projection mapping and interactive environments.

Arcadia Earth is scheduled to take place at The Well in downtown Toronto and its hours of operation are:

Wednesday, August 21st: 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm
Thursday, August 22nd: 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm
Friday, August 23rd: 12:30 pm to 7 pm
Saturday, August 24th: 12:30 pm to 7 pm
Sunday, August 25th: 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm
