McDonald’s just dropped a wild new menu that includes a Surf n’ Turf burger

McDonald’s just dropped a “remix menu” in Canada that feels like a belated April Fool’s joke, but isn’t.

The fast food chain’s latest new items feel like a secret menu or something you’d craft for yourself at the end of a very long night, but the zany new options can actually be ordered from McDonald’s locations in Canada.

The new options include a Surf n’ Turf burger, a chicken cheeseburger and the slightly more sane-feeling sweet chili Junior Chicken and apple pie McFlurry.

The Surf n’ Turf burger pairs everything that would be on a double cheeseburger with, you guessed it, a Filet-O-Fish patty, and the chicken cheeseburger stacks a beef patty and a chicken patty on top of each other. The sweet chili Junior Chicken just has sweet chili sauce on it, and the McFlurry is mashed up with another favourite McDonald’s dessert, the apple pie.

McDonald’s promoted the new menu drop with a short track from Lil Yachty, featuring the rapper spouting an autotuned fast food order.

People have been responding to the menu items with tons of comments on social media, some intrigued and some very excited.

“When I worked at donnies most of these are things we did on overnight shift finally glad to see those crazy 3 am ideas get the attention they deserve,” one person commented on Instagram.

The chain also posted on April Fool’s saying, “McD’s lip balms are here” with flavours like Big Mac Sauce, Oreo McFlurry and Extra Pickles, but that was actually a joke.
