One of Ontario’s Michelin-recommended restaurants located outside Toronto is gearing up to open a brand new spot.
Fat Rabbit in St. Catharines has been highly critically acclaimed, gaining inclusion in the local Michelin Guide and being awarded a spot on many other lists of great restaurants in the area, like En Route Magazine’s list of the best new restaurants.
They’re known for their farm-to-table approach, as Fat Rabbit functions not only as a restaurant but also a whole animal butchery, with all the meat served sourced from local farms and butchered in house. The restaurant is located at 34 Geneva St. in St. Catharines.

Now, Fat Rabbit has announced they’re at work on a new project: Les Incompetents.
Not much has been revealed about the new concept so far other than that it will be a French(ish) bar serving food, wine and cocktails. It would appear the name might be a reference to the movie Home Alone, in which one character says to Kevin, “You’re what the French call les incompetents.”
Les Incompetents should be opening soon at 386 St. Paul St. in St. Catharines.
