‘Name That Tune’ nights coming for fundraisers at Welland, Niagara Falls Legions

Based on the old (and now reborn) TV show Name That Tune, music trivia nights at local haunts are nothing new.
In this region, there’s a travelling road-show known as “Niagara’s Name That Tune With Lee” that has dozens of set gigs at bars throughout Niagara, including Niagara Falls’ hot-spots such as Taps Brewhouse and The Blind Pig, as well as Irish Harp in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
That said, there’s two shows coming up, both of which are fundraisers forĀ Royal Canadian Legions.
On April 14, “Niagara’s Name That Tune With Lee” will stop into Welland Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 4 (383 Morningstar Ave.) for a “Music Trivia and Silent Auction” fundraiser with proceeds going to the Legion Building Fund, starting at 6 pm.
There’s game prizes throughout and the Legion is saying that there’s “maybe even a 50/50 too.” Tickets are $25/person or $175 for a table of eight. Interested music lovers can get theirs by calling the Office at 905-734-3611, the Canteen at 905-734-6601, or emailing them at: [email protected].
On Saturday, April 22, the same show will shift to Niagara Falls Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 479 (5603 Spring St.) for another building fundraiser, this one a “Music Trivia & Spaghetti Dinner.”
Ticket’s are straight-up $20 per person for the mail and the game with teams and table up to eight available. Tickets available at the Legion bar or by calling 905-354-4331.
For those who remember the old “I can name that tune in five notes” version of the game, here’s a lightning round in the latest TV incarnation.
