A new restaurant serving healthy acai and smoothie bowls just opened in Toronto’s west end.
Super Bowls opened at 279 Roncesvalles Ave. this month.
The shop serves bowls with fresh ingredients including açaí berries, granola, blueberries, strawberries, bananas, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, chia seeds, hemp seeds and Nutella.
“Super Bowls was born from our love for açaí and smoothie bowls—a love that started during a magical trip to Brazil in 2023,” the founders Yashna and Reza wrote on their website. “It was there we first discovered the acai berry, a dark purple vibrant gem native to the rainforests of Central and South America.”
The açaí berry is packed with antioxidants and when combined with fruits and nuts, the bowls are a healthy meal or dessert.
When Yashna and Reza returned home, they said they couldn’t find enough places serving these bowls. So, they started experimenting and soon decided to open their own restaurant.
“Welcome to a place where every bowl is made with love—and just a touch of obsession!” they said.
The bright spot features an original mural from artist Mykah Czarina, which captures the vibe of the founder’s trip to Brazil.
The menu features bowls with chocolate, mango, coconut and other favours. There is also the choice to make your own bowl.
Smoothies include a coffee-based drink, tropical fruits and berry flavours.
