New high tea and cupcake cafe coming to Mapleview Mall in Burlington

A cafe specializing in cupcakes, high tea and a range of ‘couture desserts’ is set to open its doors in Burlington’s Mapleview Mall later this month.
The Cupcake Cafe, which boasts a website that feels distinctly Parisian, will open later this month.
The brand previously launched a pop-up in the mall that ran from Dec. 1-31, 2023.
As far as food goes, the new cafe will offer a high tea that will feature a selection of scones served with Devonshire cream and jam, tea sandwiches, pastries and, of course, tea. There will also be seasonal specials, along with a special high tea for children under 10.
Diners can also expect a variety of cupcakes, French macarons, petit choux (a delicate pastry), custom cakes, croissants and cookies.
According to the company’s website, cupcake flavours include black velvet, s’mores, spiced chai date latte, cookies n’ cream, lemon pie, red velvet, coconut cream and more.
The cafe will also serve specialty coffees, including espresso, cappuccino (including a cupcake cappuccino), chai lattes, London fogs and seasonal drinks.
The cafe is slated to open on Jan. 27.
