Toronto has its fair share of street food, but we can never get enough, so it’s exciting to see that a new international street food market has opened up just in time for summer.

Hangout Street Market has vendors serving up poutine, Mexican food, shawarma, Levantine cuisine, dessert and breakfast. It’s located in a quirky driveway-type space right near Queen and Parliament, near where a few other restaurants are already located.

Poutine Hub serves poutine, burgers, wraps and hot dogs, with options for poutine like butter chicken, pulled pork, pepper shrimp, chicken shawarma and jerk chicken. They also have different specials every day.

Mansafji offers a chance to try traditional Levantine dish mansaf, lamb cooked in a sauce of dried fermented yogurt served with rice. It’s typically eaten communally using a method of pouring sauce over the rice, then balling it up with your right hand.

There’s also TamalMex, which specializes in Mexican tamales and other Mexican food like flautas, and there’s an Indian food concept at the market called Sanskriti Foods.

Hangout Street Market is now open at 181 Parliament St.
