A popular wine bar has just opened a new location in one of Toronto’s hottest food halls.

Grape Witches is a women-run wine bar and bottle shop specializing in natural wines and imports. Their original location can be found on Dundas West, where wines are displayed in a relaxed space with quirky design. They also have a patio in the summer.

“Founded in 2015, Grape Witches began as a series of parties and educational events pouring the rare and delicious organic, biodynamic and natural wine we loved. The dream? To share the incredible flavours, places and people that made us work in wine – without the stuffy attitude,” reads the Grape Witches site.

“Fast forward through a few hundred parties big and small; from geeky winemaker events to sweaty dance parties to the world’s largest natural wine booze cruise (yes, actually!!), and you’ll find us on March 7th 2020 (lol) signing the lease to our first space and launching our natural wine agency, Grape Witch Imports. Grape Witches is now an incredible team of people working to make natural wine approachable & available like never before.”

Now, they’ve opened a brand new location at Waterworks Food Hall.

“Grab a glass or flight from our constantly changing menu or chat non-traditional tasting notes with our wine pros to find your next fave bottle to go,” reads the Waterworks web page for Grape Witches.

They’ve brought their signature design sense to the new Waterworks location, with a bar with an industrial feel balanced out by mint seating, plus wine red display modules and backlit shelving for displaying bottles.

Grape Witches is now open at Waterworks Food Hall, located at the Maud Street entrance.
