Restaurants that have opened this August in Toronto have been majorly impressive, with some splashy new openings from concepts with locations across the country, and in the case of highly anticipated Nobu, around the world.

Nobu

Possibly the most highly anticipated restaurant opening of the year, this globally famous Japanese chain finally opened the doors to their first ever Toronto location this summer in early August.

The stunning space is the epitome of glitz and glam, and the menu offers favourites beloved by regular diners and celebs alike.


Mandy’s Yorkville

This salad empire with roots in Quebec continues to grow in Toronto with this new location in the swanky area of Yorkville.

The fancy neighbourhood is perfect for the cute salad chain that’s known for its maximalist design aethestic. Now, people around this area can get their hands on the popular salads and bowls from Mandy’s.


No. 900

For the first time ever, this pizza restaurant has opened its doors outside of Quebec with their first Toronto location in the Beaches.

They make certified Neapolitan pizza that’s cooked in seconds at 900 degrees, hence the name.


Randy’s Patties

Eglinton West has welcomed back this new version of the old Randy’s, a Jamaican restaurant that closed a few years ago.

There are still long lineups for patties and there will most likely be a limit on the number of patties you can take home.


Momoboyz

Scarborough has a new source for momos in this restaurant that serves them in fried, steamed, jhol and chilli varieties.

They also serve a range of appetizers plus noodles, fried rice, chilli dishes, sekuwa and choila.


Cactus Club Yonge Sheppard Centre

Fans of this restaurant chain will be glad to hear there’s a new location open in town. Situated at Yonge Sheppard Centre, the new location serves frozen cocktails along with classic Cactus favourites like their poke bowl.


Sushi Momo

This Montreal plant-based sushi restaurant just opened their first ever Toronto location near the end of August.

Veggie lovers can check out their mushroom tartare, futomaki, crispy rice dishes and tempura maki including a plant-based “Croque Madame” option with vegan bacon-tamago-cheddar, avocado, maple mustard and saffron sauce, and a “Wellington” option with vegan beef, truffle paste, shiitake, asparagus and teriyaki-wasabi sauce.
