A couple of anticipated new restaurants opened in Toronto just this past week: a Thai restaurant and karaoke bar by a powerhouse team and a two-level French bistro. Check out both of those, but don’t forget to stop by a couple new street food spots on the way home as well.
Here are restaurants that opened this week in Toronto.
This week brought us the opening of TOOR Hotel, and with it the huge 2,500-square-foot French-inspired restaurant inside spanning two levels.
The team behind Pai, Kiin and Sukhothai led by heavyweight chef Nuit Regular just replaced their old spot Selva with this newest project, a karaoke bar and Thai restaurant named for a cultural hub in Chiang Mai.
Get a taste of Jordanian food at this new addition to Toronto’s Food Alley, serving all kinds of sandwich-y goodness.
This restaurant just expanded this week with a new location at Harbourfront, serving all the usual Middle Eastern favourites you can expect from a solid shawarma restaurant.
The Danforth is now home to Ala Antioch’s first Toronto outpost; the original is located in the Concord/Vaughan area. Downtowners can now easily grab their huge doner wraps to go.
