Niagara Falls just announced that this year they’ll be having their first ever “On the Rocks” Cocktail Festival.

The event is being presented by bar and venue Spyce Lounge, and will take place at Niagara Falls Exchange. Local craft spirits, cocktails and distilleries will be showcased, and there will also be mixology demonstrations, food, interactive art installations and a full live music lineup.

This 19+ event will give lovers of local spirits a chance to find out more about how their favourite products are created and to talk to the people that make them. Event goers will also be able to vote on a “Favourite Cocktail of the Night” award.

The participating distilleries include Collective Arts, Forty Creek Distillery, Maverick Distillery Limited, NB Distillers, Reid’s Distillery, and Niagara College Teaching Distillery who will be putting on live demonstrations. There will be three cocktail bars provided by 1954 Bourbon & Smoke, Local and Spyce Lounge, as well as a wine and beer bar by Niagara College Teaching Winery and Brewery. Food and merch will be provided by Rustic Food Company and Studio Vine Glass.

Live music will be going all night for the duration of the event from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The acts in order will be DJ Dave Stiles, DRFTR, Nick & Serena, Years of Modern and LMT Connection, with each playing an hour set. If you’re still thirsty for more after that, there’s going to be an after party at Spyce Lounge.

Tickets are now available for $45 and include admission, three food/drink tickets and a special “On the Rocks” branded glass. Additional food/drink tickets are $10.

The On the Rocks Cocktail Festival takes place on May 4.
