A one-man Italian food trailer that operated in a parking lot has now opened a full restaurant in a physical brick and mortar space.
Fuoco Mio is the Italian restaurant that was once a small food cart in the parking lot of breweries Shacklands and Rainhard, operated by Frank Adessi.
Now, they’ve evolved into a full service restaurant with seating, serving the Italian classics they’ve become known for.

The shack was known for eats like panini and fries, and at the restaurant they’re honing in on their specialties like pizza and porchetta, and also offering options like grilled stuffed mushrooms.
They serve both lunch and dinner, and their panini are still on offer for lunch with options like their signature Fuoco Mio sandwich with prosciutto, capocollo, roasted sweet peppers, muffuletta, sun-dried tomatoes, bocconcini and arugula. Pizza is on both the lunch and dinner menus, with traditional options like a marinara and Margherita, as well as other varieties like the Cosa Nostra with prosciutto, figs and balsamic glaze.
Pasta, something previously not available from Fuoco Mio, is available at both lunch and dinner with more expanded offerings during dinner. Options include rigatoni alla bolognese, fettuccine con panna, and both meat and veggie lasagna. During dinner, you can try their linguine a gamberi with jumbo shrimp. There are also some exciting secondi available for dinner, including veal and chicken parm, osso buco and beef ribs.
The 40-seat restaurant has a classic casual Italian joint look with checkered tablecloths and a graphic wall reading “salute.”
Fuoco Mio is now open at 521 Annette St.
