One of Toronto’s best bakeries just opened up a brand new location in one of the city’s most historic destinations and biggest landmarks.

Blackbird Baking Co. has just opened a location at St. Lawrence Market, which has been around for over 200 years and receives a ton of foot traffic from locals and tourists alike.

The popular bakery deals in breads and pastries like sourdough, baguettes, challah, brioche, cookies, danishes and croissants. They already have locations in Kensington Market and Riverside, and now they’re adding this third jewel to their crown.

“Blackbird St. Lawrence Market opens tomorrow,” the bakery suddenly posted on their social media. “Thanks to our team for all of their hard work to make this happen. Please come visit us and all of our great new neighbours.”

The video post has nearly 1,000 likes and nearly 100 comments from fans of the bakery, with most people saying congratulations and how excited they are.

The video shows a menu of what they’ll be selling at the St. Lawrence Market location, which includes regular and multigrain baguettes, multigrain ovals, sesame spelt, Danish rye, brioche, challah, hamburger buns, focaccia, ciabatta, croissants and cinnamon buns.

The new Blackbird is located in the northwest corner of the market, with the video instructing people to “Look right as you enter from Front St., or come in the side doors on Market St.”

Blackbird Baking Co. is now open at St. Lawrence Market with hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
