A restaurant that’s been serving great plant-based food in Toronto for over five years has announced it’ll soon be permanently closing its doors.

Rosalinda has become known for serving an amazing veggie burger alongside a plant-based menu pulling from Latin American influences, with dishes like nachos, flautas, tacos, ceviche and churros. They’ve now let fans of their veggie cuisine know they’ll be closing up almost six years after they first opened.

“It has been an absolute pleasure hosting you over these past six years, providing our guests with vibrant dishes, lively wines and good times,” reads a post on the restaurant’s Instagram page.

“Thank you to those who have visited us frequently, and those who chose Rosalinda as a place to explore the intriguing and delicious world of plant-based cuisine.”

People have been commenting on the announcement on Facebook, saying that they’re so sorry to hear the restaurant is closing and that it’s definitely been one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the city. Some people also commented saying that if the team behind Rosalinda ever does anything else, they would support it.

“These are indeed difficult times for the restaurant industry,” one person commented. Another person wrote, “It’s been such a tough time for restaurants.”

Rosalinda is located at 133 Richmond Street West, and will be permanently closed as of Friday, May 3.
