A Spanish restaurant that’s recognized as one of Toronto’s best is making a big move with their offerings, and is introducing lunch.

Bar Isabel is known for arguably popularizing tapas in the Toronto food scene, offering classic small plates like pan con tomate, anchovy Gildas, jamon Iberico and patatas bravas.

Now, they’ve announced they’re going to be offering their Spanish deliciousness during a new time of day for lunch, with all kinds of extra special touches. Take note, though, this service will likely be popular as it’s only going to take place once a week.

Bar Isabel’s lunch will take place every Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. The full a la carte menu will be available plus a $69 tasting menu for two.

The $69 tasting menu includes shishito peppers; pan con tomate; choice of chorizo or manchego; patatas bravas; choice of mushrooms, octopus or pork secreto; and Basque cake with sherry cream.

Several half price cocktails will also be available for $7.50: their El Gintonic, Tinto de Verano (a drink that combines red wine and soda), and Rebujito made with Fino and mint.

Lots of people as well as local businesses have responded positively to the news on Instagram, with El Rey Mezcal Bar exclaiming “OCTOPUS FOR LUNCH!” and Porchetta and Co. writing, “GAME OVER.”

Bar Isabel launches lunch on May 11.
