While the future permanent location of the Ontario Science Centre remains uncertain following its sudden closure in June, the facility recently announced that fans of the facility will still be able to check out some new exhibits next month.

In November, Sherway Gardens, located in Etobicoke close to the Mississauga border, will host two interactive exhibitions: Towns of Tomorrow with Lego Bricks and Circus!

According to a news release, Towns of Tomorrow will kick off on Nov. 6 and run until Jan. 19, 2025. The exhibit will feature 20 Lego skyscrapers from around the world, including the CN Tower, the Empire State Building, the Shanghai Tower and others. Visitors will also be able to use Lego bricks to construct their own towers.

Circus! will explore how math, physics and anatomy make circus feats possible. Open from Nov. 6 until March 16, 2025, visitors will be able to safely walk the tightrope and learn more about sword swallowers, spin plates and other circus mainstays.

In a news release, Cadillac Fairview said the exhibits will move into the space formerly occupied by Nordstrom.

Another exhibit will also open at the Harbourfront Centre. On Dec. 4, KidSpark, a learn-through-play experience for children 10 and younger, will feature a pretend supermarket, blocks, a pretend doctor’s office and more.

The exhibit will run until May 4, 2025.

“We are excited to share our passion for science and provide incredible STEM learning experiences in engaging and innovative ways for the people of Ontario,” said Paul Kortenaar, CEO, Ontario Science Centre, in a statement.

“We are so proud to work with CF Sherway Gardens and Harbourfront Centre to offer science-packed, family-friendly experiences to audiences starting this fall.”
