People behind popular brunch spot opening a new restaurant in Toronto

A team known for serving brunch is now opening a brand new restaurant at the same address as one of their cafes.
The people behind Simit & Chai as well as Pasaj are embarking on a new project with Barba, which will be located at the same address as one of their locations of Simit & Chai.
Simit & Chai is known for serving a style of bagels known as simit, and Pasaj has become renowned for its take on brunch.
With Barba, the stunning Duncan Street space that’s currently home to a Simit & Chai location will represent something totally new for the Pasaj team.
The menu at Barba should encompass options like fancy cocktails plus olive tapenade, beef tartare, charcuterie, borek, halloumi, fried mussels, burgers and lamb. From the looks of their Instagram, it seems as though Barba will be a wine bar serving mezes.
Their Instagram also indicates that Barba should be officially opening on Sept. 16.
