If you–or someone on your Christmas list–are in the market for chunky sweaters, cozy and casual button-downs or dresses with a bohemian vibe, you might be happy to hear that a British retailer offering all those things has opened a brand new location in Burlington’s Mapleview Centre.
FatFace, named after the black mountain ski run in Val d’Isère known as La Face, recently opened its doors in the popular shopping centre.
FatFace offered shoppers a glimpse into its latest Canadian location–the eighth in the country, according to the brand–on Instagram.
Rick Campanelli, a well-known entertainment journalist who was a popular VJ on MuchMusic in the 90s and early 2000s, congratulated the company and shopping centre in the comments section, saying he and his wife, Angie Smith-Campanelli, were excited to shop there.
Smith-Campanelli also commented, saying she and her husband were happy to be part of the opening day.
Founded in 1988 by a slope-loving pair who wanted to make a little extra money, the British brand has been expanding in Canada, having recently opened a store in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The company also boasts a location in Toronto’s Distillery District and another in Toronto Premium Outlets in Halton Hills.
As far as offerings go, the store sells clothing and accessories for women, men and children and boasts an array of dresses, sweaters, cardigans, pants, shorts, t-shirts, hoodies, footwear, belts, jewellery and more.
FatFace operates locations in Canada, the U.S., the U.K. and Ireland.
