A coffee brand with roots in Toronto will soon be closing their lone Mississauga location.

Hale is a top local artisanal coffee roaster founded in 2013 that also has multiple cafe locations. Their beans and coffee are also sold at other area businesses.

The cafe operates spots in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood, at Bloor and Church, and in Midtown at the entrance of a Farm Boy, and they’re also affiliated with Saving Mondays Bakery on Dupont.

Hale took to social media to announce the closure of their sole Mississauga location, which has been in business for five years.

“We’re saddened to announce that our beloved cafe at Square One Shopping Centre will be closing. Since opening in 2019, we’ve loved being part of the Mississauga community and sharing countless wonderful moments over coffee with you,” reads the announcement.

“The entire Hale team extends our heartfelt thanks for your incredible support and the beautiful memories over these five years.”

However, this may not be the last Mississauga sees of Hale.

“While our time at Square One is coming to an end, this is not goodbye forever,” said Hale co-founder Ramzi Yanis in a news release. “We are exploring opportunities and hope to be back in Mississauga very soon. We are excited about the possibility of serving you again in the near future and continuing our journey together.”

Up until their last day, the Mississauga location will be offering discounts with a deal on three retail bags of coffee for $45 or 10 per cent off five-pound bulk bags.

The last day for Hale at Square One will be July 28.
