If you’re looking for a little taste of summer during these cold winter months, you’re in luck: a smoothie bar will soon be bringing a tiny piece of cottage country to Toronto.
The Hut is a smoothie and juice bar that’s become popular in the Muskoka area, and has grown to two locations in Port Carling. They have one location on Medora Street and another seasonal location at Mortimers Marina.

The business was founded by twin sisters Sydney and Ashley Bly, and the menu consists of smoothies, smoothie bowls and toasts. Smoothies include options like strawberry banana, mixed berry, mint chip and orange creamsicle, and you can add in protein, collagen, lion’s mane, reishi or chaga.
Any smoothie can be made into a bowl, and they also do acai bowls as well as avocado, peanut butter and almond butter toasts. The Hut also serves a decent selection of coffee beverages including matcha lattes.

Co-founder Ashley Bly tells YourCityWithIN.com that the new Toronto location will have an expanded menu.
“Our menu will include the same high-quality smoothies our Muskoka community loves, with the exciting addition of freshly made organic juices, made to order toasts and prepared foods made in house and sourced locally. We’ve also expanded to include a curated grocery section with thoughtfully selected snacks and wellness items,” says Bly.
“What sets this location apart is its welcoming space, featuring pops of colour, natural wood elements, and a warm, cottage-inspired vibe that brings the feel of Muskoka to the city. It’s designed to feel like a cozy escape from the city’s hustle.”
The Hut at 2528 Yonge St. in Toronto should be having their grand opening on Dec. 11.
