A popular Toronto and GTA Italian restaurant chain with over half a dozen locations has just opened their newest spot in Mississauga.
Il Fornello has origins that can be traced back to 1986 and was one of the first restaurants to introduce wood-fired pizza to Toronto, and has become known for their extensive plant-based menu. The chain now has restaurants on Bayview and the Danforth as well as in Richmond Hill, Oakville, St. Catharines and Ajax, and now they’ve opened one in Mississauga.
The new Il Fornello location can be found in Sherwood Village and serves their usual menu of antipasti, salads, pizza, pasta and mains like chicken parm.
This location is a little different from the others, though: it also encompasses Cafe Alba. The cafe opened prior to the restaurant last month, and in addition to typical cafe fare like coffee and pastries, they should also be selling sandwiches, salads and even pizza.
Il Fornello opened at 2225 Erin Mills Pkwy. in Mississauga on June 24.
