Popular Hamilton sushi restauant expands into second location

A popular Hamilton sushi restaurant is set to expand into a second location in Stoney Creek.

Sushi on Fennell, a renowned restaurant in the downtown core, confirmed plans to expand via email on Jan. 19. The local Stoney Creek joint, Red Maple, had recently closed down depriving the community of a local sushi spot.

However, Sushi of Fennell is about to fill the void (and plenty of bellies) with their second location on Centennial Pkwy. and Mud St. While the owner debated naming the new location Sushi on Centennial, they decided to keep the name Sushi on Fennell to maintain brand consistency.

The new location will sit in the under-construction Desi Plaza and is expected to be finished by mid-February.
