Popular Indian restaurant chain opens new location in Oakville

If you’re craving something spicy and wholesome this winter season, you might want to check out this new Indian restaurant now open in Oakville.
Mehfill Indian Cuisine, a well-known restaurant chain has opened its latest location at 3420 Rebecca St Unit A, taking over the former Italian food spot Nonna’s Oven.
The restaurant serves a variety of veggie and meat options throughout its menu.
For appetizers patrons may want to try popular street food items like the Butter Chicken Poutine, Pav Bhaji (mashed vegetable curry served with white butter buns), or Dahi Puri Golgappe (small fried hollow balls) filled with flavoured potato, spiced yogurt and house chutney.
They have tandoor (oven baked) options including Tandoori Paneer Tikka (grilled cottage cheese in spiced yogurt), Soya Malai Chaap (cashew and cream base grilled soy chunks in spiced yogurt) and Chicken or Veggie Momos (Indian style stuffed dumplings).
For mains, the restaurant offers more than ten chicken dishes cooked in different sauces and vegetables including Chicken Tikka Masala —tandoor chicken cooked in tomato and onion curry with bell peppers and fresh onions.
The Lamb Bhuna is a popular choice among customers. The meat is slow roasted with onion, ginger, garlic and reduced in a tomato puree.
On their website, the restaurant shares that they use the freshest ingredients and authentic spices, creating “delicious dishes that capture the essence of Indian cuisine.”
Customers have the choice to of naan (bread) or rice to pair with their meal. Some naan options include garlic naan, garlic cheese naan, and Methi Mirchi naan (blend of fenugreek leaves and chili).
For those that prefer rice, some options are plain rice, Saffron Matar Pulao (green pea) and the specialty rice Jeera Garlic ka tadka.
For dessert the establishment serves items such as Rasmalai (clotted cream pieces in a milk base), Gulab Jamun and ice cream (deep fried dough balls mixed with spices and soaked in a sugar syrup), and Gajar Halwa (a carrot style sweet pudding).
Mehfill also has a huge selection of drinks including milkshakes, lassi (yogurt based drink) and sodas.
The Oakville location is open every day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Mehfill restaurant also has a location in Etobicoke and Brampton.
