A mochi donut brand that’s been expanding rapidly recently is now opening their first ever downtown Toronto location this week.

Marry Mochi is known for their puffy, fluffy mochi donuts in specialty rotating flavours like strawberry cheesecake, lemon pound cake, banana milk, dulce de leche and maple pecan. They’re also equally known for their stunning cafe interiors and staff of “mochi angels” wearing life size angel wings.

The brand has been popping up at lots of malls in Ontario, and already has two locations at Square One and Stockyards.

Now, their angelic mochi donuts will be more accessible than ever with a new location opening in downtown Toronto in Kensington Market.

The new location will be a part of La Mooriyya Markette in Kensington, and will take up a significant amount of space in the multi-vendor spot. Marry Me Mochi has been dropping videos showing the progress on their construction of the new location.

Marry Me Mochi is planning for a big grand opening with giveaways like a draw for the grand prize of an iPhone for one customer just for showing up to opening day.

They’ll also be giving away a free box of six mochi donuts to the first 10 people in line, the next 30 people get a free Dubai chocolate bar and the next 50 people get free ube and matcha soft serve. If you’re not one of the first in line, never fear: everything will be 50 per cent off all day for opening day.

Marry Me Mochi in Kensington Market at 210 Augusta Ave. should be opening on Oct. 19.
