While there’s no shortage of good Thai food in Toronto, there’s always room for one place serving reliably tasty curries and pad Thai (or, better yet, curry pad Thai).
Chiang Mai, a popular restaurant with multiple locations, just announced that it has officially opened a brand new location in North York’s York Mills neighbourhood.
“Let the charm of our York Mills space set the mood for your next unforgettable meal,” operators wrote in a recent Instagram post.
“Open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.”

Launched in 2018, Chiang Mai, which operates locations in Greektown, Etobicoke, Liberty Village and the Junction, serves classic Thai dishes such as pineapple fried rice and pad see ew, as well as some more inventive options like Wagyu khao soi dumplings.
They also serve refined cocktails and offer brunch at select locations, including their newest one. Some brunch dishes include Thai tea French toast, Tom Yum noodle soup, lobster eggs Benedict, fried chicken and egg waffles, and more.
The new resto also serves a dish that Chiang Mai diners can’t get anywhere else: Khao soi surf and turf.
“Exclusively at our new Chiang Mai York Mills location, we’re taking our classic khao soi to new heights with succulent lobster tail and melt-in-your-mouth braised beef,” operators shared in a social media post, adding that the dish includes khao soy curry, egg noodles, pickled red onion, mustard greens and crispy shallots.
The restaurant celebrated its grand opening earlier this fall.
Reservations for the location are open.
