A restaurant serving Michelin-recommended fried chicken is now opening a brand new location outside Toronto city limits in Whitby.

Chica’s Chicken originated in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood, and specializes in Nashville hot chicken. Their take on the supremely spicy dish is so good, it’s been recognized by the Michelin Guide.

In fact, the guide has even singled them out for a Bib Gourmand award for good food for good value three years in a row.

The restaurant serves sandwiches, wings, chicken bites, chicken by the piece and sides like slaw and Cajun waffle fries. They also serve a range of sauces including their own signature buttermilk ranch, sweet heat, Buffalo, chipotle and hot honey.

Now, they’re opening a brand new location in a new city. Whitby’s new location of Chica’s will be opening at 300 Dundas St. E. A post about the new opening on Instagram racked up almost 500 likes and nearly 100 comments.

Chica’s will be having a grand opening for their Whitby location on Nov. 2.
