la sala restaurant reopens after fire toronto

A popular east-end restaurant that was forced to close following a significant fire officially re-opened its doors earlier this month.

Recently, The Beach BIA announced that La Sala, a casual Italian restaurant located on Queen Street East in the bustling Beaches (or The Beach) neighbourhood, is now open following a months-long closure.

“Months after a devastating fire, the owners are happy to announce renovations are complete and they will be opening their doors for service tonight,” the BIA said in an Oct. 3 post.

The restaurant has been closed since early February.

La Sala announced its reopening on Oct. 2.

“We are glad to announce our reopening at La Sala restaurant,” operators wrote on Instagram.

“[Come to] visit us we are happy to have you again.”

La Sala, a family-owned and operated restaurant, has been serving Italian fare to patrons for more than five years. The menu boasts a range of staples, including salads, calamari, beef carpaccio, risotto (including a lobster-based dish for just $28), a wide array of pasta dishes, veal marsala, pizza and more.

La Sala also boasts a kid’s menu and brunch service.
