Rick’s Good Eats has been serving up Punjabi-Canadian comfort food for a while now, but now Toronto will finally be able to officially experience the restaurant at a new location.
Rick’s is known for dishes like butter chicken birria tacos, cheesy tandoori fries and Punjabi cheeseburgers with achari mayo and tandoori bacon.
The restaurant already has locations in Brampton and Mississauga, but now they’re opening in Toronto for the first time in the neighbourhood of Scarborough.
“We couldn’t be more grateful to everyone for your support, effort and patience with us as we open up our Scarborough location! From architects to designers to our kitchen team, front of house staff and family & friends, we couldn’t be more appreciative for everyone standing behind us as we open up our 3rd location in the East End,” reads a post on social media announcing the opening of the new location.
“On behalf of all of us at Rick’s Good Eats – THANK YOU! This is only the beginning!”
It looks as though one thing Rick’s fans in Scarborough might be able to look forward to might be a special spicy sauce.
“Scarborough, one thing I noticed, you guys like your food spicy so I’m working on my own chili sauce,” owner Rick Matharu said in a video posted to Instagram stories.
Also, the first 50 people to show up to the grand opening will get free loaded fries.
Rick’s Good Eats is having their grand opening Friday at 3155 Markham Rd. in Scarborough.
