A place to get a rolled style of ice cream has ended their summer by shuttering their doors in Niagara Falls.

RollzUp Ice Cream posted to their social media that this summer season had been their last.

“After much deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to close RollzUp Ice Cream & Convenience due to an unsustainable rent increase,” reads a post on social media.

“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our staff for their unwavering commitment and hard work. We also thank our loyal customers for their trust and support. While we are sad to close our doors, we are grateful for the memories and experiences we have shared. Thank you all for being part of our journey.”

People commented on the post saying they were sorry to hear the news, and that RollzUp would be missed.

Fortunately for them, there is a glimmer of hope. While RollzUp may have closed in Niagara Falls, the same team is already operating a new business in Stoney Creek called Rolly and Bubbly, adding bubble tea to their menu along with their rolled ice cream.

RollzUp Ice Cream at 7572 Lundy’s Lane in Niagara Falls closed on Aug. 29.
