A surrealist art party that bills itself as Saltburn meets Marie Antoinette is taking over a three-floor Victorian mansion in Toronto soon.

DreamHouse is being put on by event company Something, and will take place at the historic Isabella Mansion. This will be one of the biggest and last events for the venue before it’s likely closed to the public indefinitely and construction will begin at the site on a 69-storey condo.

The event promises to encompass things like an impromptu dinner party, personalized poetry in the library, nude live drawing in the bedroom, a secret garden with a cellist and a food fight, plus many other secret fun elements. Every room in the mansion will be transformed into a surreal art installation.

Guests will be free to roam the mansion and interact with a cast of eccentric performers. The only rule is that the dress code is costume or black tie mandatory.

“I am delighted that Something has chosen Foy House for their immersive art experience,” said Georgia Wilder, current leaseholder of the mansion, in a press release.

“From Marie Couvier, renowned for introducing high art to her Victorian guests, to the office of social justice lawyer Clayton Ruby, who defended The Body Politic, this is a mansion of many histories. I can’t wait to see Something make their own history at Foy House while supporting The ArQuives!”

“We’re excited to show guests all of the intricate secrets and surprises that we’ve been working on for months,” said one of Something’s co-founders Victoria Gubiani in a press release, “We want people to feel like they are a part of something magical. They are the art too!”

Tickets are available online for $59.91, and 10 per cent of ticket sales will be going back to local organization The ArQuives. DreamHouse takes place on Saturday, July 27 at 92 Isabella St. from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
