A sandwich shop that lost their space and moved into a taproom has announced they’re now pausing their operations there.

Zontwiches is a croissant sandwich shop that’s been run in tandem with baking project Breadhead. When the shop lost their space recently, they were welcomed into the Collective Arts taproom on Dundas West.

Now, the business has announced they need to shift focus to the baking concept for the time being and are pausing Zontwiches at Collective Arts.

“The past few weeks have been insaaaaaaane in the bakery, so for this reason we’ve decided to pause on our lil sandwich project (after this Saturday) while we focus on the growth of breadhead. This was a super hard decision, but the right one,” reads a social media post from Zontwiches.

“This isn’t goodbye! It’s just see ya later. I want to personally thank Collective Arts for housing us this past month, they’ve been so much fun to be around and I’m beyond grateful for their hospitality. We’ll see you soon folks, and thanks for the support over the past few months!”

If you’re interested in checking out the Breadhead baked goods that the team is now focusing on, you can find them at many cafes including The Drake Cafe, Milky’s, The Sonndr and Reunion Coffee. Their croissants, bagel bombs, cinnamon buns and cookies are definitely worth a try.

The last day for Zontwiches at Collective Arts was June 29.
