A sandwich shop has announced they’ll soon be permanently shutting down after only 10 months in business.
La Bella Sangweech is a cute sandwich shop in Little Italy that served up huge sandwiches loaded up with cold cuts on fluffy bread.
They offer sandwiches like the La Big Bella with mortadella, hot soppressata, prosciutto, capicola, provolone, mozzarella and olive salad, and the La Gabagool with capicola, roasted red peppers and provolone. They also sold their own Bella’s Bomba spicy spread and house marinated olives, and had been serving cafe crema.

“Brace yourselves for a fusion of tradition and trendy flavors. Our journey started with a cheeky Instagram post and evolved into something epic over the past year,” reads a blurb on the La Bella Sangweech website authored by Jess and Angie, “the masterminds behind La Bella Sangweech.”
“La Bella Sangweech is where our passion for honouring our Italian heritage meets our playful personalities and love for seriously tasty casual food.”
Now, that journey on College Street in Little Italy is coming to an end, with the restaurant posting to social media that they’ll soon be permanently closing.
The last day for La Bella Sangweech will be Oct. 20.
