A shop known for its mochi donut angels is opening its second location.
Marry Me Mochi just recently opened its first store in the Stockyards at the beginning of the year, but they’re not slowing down anytime soon, announcing they’re now opening a second store in Square One in Mississauga.
Marry Me has also made frequent appearances at other malls, where it attracts attention with its “mochi donut angels.” During the appearances, staff sell cute mochi donuts while wearing huge angel wings strapped to their backs. They get so much attention, in fact, that they often sell out.
Their donuts even come with adorable romantically themed names based on the “Marry Me” vibe, like Creme Brulove, Matcha Made in Heaven, Cookies n Creme n Commitment, When Taro Met Coco, Shades of Red Velvet, and Skorgeous.
It’s not just a gimmick, though: there’s serious flavour behind the angel wings and cutesy names.
Butter Than Your Ex is a cookie butter crumble flavour, Strawberry Marry Me is a strawberry Pocky variety, and the My Crazy Ex donut is a durian flavour. Flavours change regularly, and they also offer seasonal flavours. They sell Vietnamese iced coffee drinks as well, with an original flavour and ube and pandan varieties.
