Starbucks is launching a new winter menu on Jan. 3, and it includes the introduction of some very special breakfast items exclusive to Canada.
Canadians love breakfast, and the popular coffee chain is paying homage to the most important meal of the day by introducing pancakes and waffles to Canada’s menu.
Starbucks has added Maple Mini Pancakes and Belgian Liege Waffles to their Canadian menu. They’re bite-sized so they’re easy to have on the go with coffee.
Along with introducing the new items, Starbucks even conducted a survey to settle an age-old Canadian breakfast debate: pancakes or waffles? As far as the survey was concerned, pancakes swept it, with 62 per cent of respondents choosing them over the 38 per cent that chose waffles.
The pancakes and waffles are far from the only additions to the winter menu at Starbucks right now, however. Seasonal pistachio beverages are currently available for a limited time, with options like the Pistachio Latte and Pistachio Cream Cold Brew.
They’re also introducing a new hot espresso beverage to the menu for the first time in nearly 10 years. The cortado is the first new espresso addition since the flat white was added in 2015. A brown sugar oat cortado is also available for a non-dairy version.
