The people responsible for one of Toronto’s most popular patisseries has just opened the doors to a brand new champagne lounge with French Moroccan influences.

Campaniae comes to us from the team behind Delysees, a patisserie with multiple locations known for their complex and elegant pastries and desserts.

The concept serves Moroccan-inspired shareable plates alongside cocktails inspired by Delysees desserts and high end champagne from producers such as Veuve Clicquot, Dom Pérignon, Taittinger and Moët & Chandon.

The space is also Moroccan-inspired, with bold design and colours, marble surfaces, chandeliers, a gold leaf wall and lots of soft couches and sofas to sink into.

Co-founders and husband and wife team Fred and Khariz Naggar along with partner Pino Gagliardi designed the menu and space, and the Naggars drew from family recipes for the food.

The menu includes snacks like olives, shareables like Moroccan beef cigars, small plates of burrata, carrot salad and chicken skewers, and mains such as roasted Moroccan sea bass and couscous merguez.

“Campaniae is an interplay of luxury, gastronomy, dramatic design and beauty, as only Delysees does,” says co-founder Fred Naggar in a release. “Our menu is all about sharing—because delicious food is meant to be shared with those you love.”

“This is another example of how Yorkdale solidifies itself as a global destination through the introduction of first-to-market brands, bringing exclusive offerings to shoppers from Toronto and beyond,” says Rachael Tang, marketing manager at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. “Campaniae exemplifies everything Yorkdale stands for—elegant, modern takes on timeless luxury, and a vibrant spirit.”

Campaniae is now open at Yorkdale.
