Ontario now has a new pop-up photo booth that’s nothing like the old ones that used to be at the mall.

An artist who goes by Clo has been doing live drawing for a while now, but recently came up with a new way to showcase her skills: with a live drawing “photo booth.”

The booth is part of her art as well, as she’s constructed a cute “booth” that operates on “tokens” fashioned by the artist. Simply pay for the token, take a seat at the “booth” and she’ll draw up a quick portrait of you, photo-strip-style.

Clo first started up with the booth around June, and not long after the project was first launched, a video of the photo booth went viral on social media, garnering over 54,000 likes. At the very first pop-up for the live drawing photo booth at Tangy Cafe in Toronto, hundreds of people showed up.

The photo booth has since popped up at Maki Mart in North York, drawing lineups and apparently even attracting people from the United States.

The artist also makes stickers, prints and tufted rugs. As for the photo booth, she’s open to collabs and events like weddings.

You can next catch the photo booth on July 20 and Aug. 10 and 15 in downtown Whitby, and on Sept. 21 at the Bookworm’s Market at Parkdale Hall in Toronto.
