Toronto is getting its first ever festival celebrating everyone’s favourite brunch drink: mimosas.

The Mimosa Festival won’t just have mimosas. There should also be food trucks, live entertainment and even a mental health spotlight.

The festival promises to offer an array of creative mimosas as well as brunch-inspired dishes with Pizzaish as one of the sponsors. There will be a fashion show by Toronto Fashion Experience and music by DJ Mary B and DJ Andre, and there should also be a VIP lounge area.

You’re invited to put on a personal fashion show yourself as well by dressing in the suggested solid white, yellow or orange, or any combination of the three.

Mimosa Fest is being put on by At Large Entertainment, which does everything from concerts and fashion shows to pageants and even trade shows. They have a vision of Mimosa Fest becoming one of the largest outdoor events with expansion to various Canadian cities, and a target of aggressively expanding Mimosa Fest during the first three years of operation.

General admission tickets are $50 and include complimentary mimosas, and VIP tickets are $100 and include complimentary mimosas, water bottles and hors d’ouevres. Tickets are available online.

Mimosa Fest takes place at Budo Event Space at 38 Apex Rd. in North York on Aug. 25 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
