Two great things have come together at last in Ontario: Filipino food and meal prep.

The first Filipino meal prep service in Ontario just launched, and it’s far from any bland meal prep you might be familiar with.

It’s a concept from Tita Flips, a Filipino food company based in Toronto. The people behind Tita Flips also run popular restaurant concept Kanto, where you can get all kinds of Filipino classics cooked up to order. Tita Flips has origins that extend back to the 1980s, and they were one of the first ever Filipino street food stalls in Toronto.

Now, you can get all that goodness in the comfort of your own home without having to order delivery every day with Tita Flips Meal Prep. Favourites from Kanto are now available from the service in a ready-to-heat meal prep format. You just have to select what you want from their online menu each week and it can be delivered across the GTA on Tuesday or Friday.

Meals available to order might include options like beef caldereta, Bicol Express, chicken adobo, chicken inasal, beef kare kare, laing, pork binagoongan and pork sinigang. Five mix and match weekly meals start at $80, and you can also order quantities of six, seven, 10 or 12 weekly meals.

Meals will last up to five to seven days in the fridge or up to 10 weeks in the freezer, though it’s recommended any seafood dishes be consumed within two days. The dishes can be reheated in the microwave within minutes, even from frozen.
