In case you didn’t know, Tim Hortons just recently came out with their very own live musical, and now, it’s going to be available on streaming for everyone to watch.

The Last Timbit is inspired by the real-life story of people who were stranded during a 2010 storm at a Tim Hortons, with everything acted out through lively musical numbers, and was created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Tim Hortons.

The play had a limited run at Elgin Theatre in Toronto, during which the streaming version was filmed. The Last Timbit was helmed by producer Michael Rubinoff, who was nominated for a Tony, won an Olivier Award, and was given the Meritorious Service Cross by the Governor General of Canada for his role in creating smash hit musical Come From Away.

Broadway, TV, and Shaw and Stratford Festival actors star in the show, with a cast that includes Chilina Kennedy, Andrew Broderick, Eric Craig, DeAnn deGruijter, Sara Farb, Barbara Fulton, Kaya Kanashiro, Peter Millard, Danté Prince, Kimberly-Ann Truong and Jake Epstein. The music and lyrics were written by Anika Johnson and Britta Johnson.

“It was such a thrill to see The Last Timbit come to life in front of delighted audiences in Toronto and it was always our wish that we could share this special production with Canadians from coast to coast to coast,” said Hope Bagozzi, chief marketing officer for Tim Hortons, in a press release.

“We’re looking forward to more Canadians having the opportunity to see this heartwarming show that features some of the very best talent in the country.”

Another iconic Canadian brand, Roots, actually collaborated with the costume designer on the wardrobe selection for the actors in the musical.

“Great musical theatre is telling compelling stories. Every day across the country, millions of Canadians come together at Tim Hortons where life’s stories unfold,” said Rubinoff in a press release.

“‘The Last Timbit’ is a celebration of that community connection that will surprise and delight audiences with its heart and humour.”

“It’s been an honour and privilege to support the Canadian arts community through creating and staging ‘The Last Timbit,'” said Bagozzi. “We were so fortunate to get to work with some of the very best in Canadian theatre to celebrate the unique and powerful connections we’ve had with our guests since 1964.”

The Last Timbit will begin streaming exclusively on Crave starting Aug. 12.
