With less than a week until Christmas, Mississauga is offering a variety of festive activities to enjoy with family, friends, or kids during the winter holidays. From concerts to dazzling light displays and historical exhibitions, there’s something to keep everyone entertained!

December 20

Illumi

Explore the world’s biggest light and sound show this holiday season. Wander through 16 thematic universes filled with snowmen, candy canes, reindeer, and the iconic Illumi Tree of Lights—the tallest in the world.

Holiday Lunch

Leave the cooking to someone else and enjoy a delectable holiday lunch buffet curated by the chefs at LIVE Restaurant.

Cost: Adults $39; children (ages 4–12) $29.50; children (3 & under) free.


The Best of Ilinden

Enjoy a traditional folk dance concert featuring multiple choreographies ranging from 3 to 12 minutes, with interactive audience participation.

Christmas Show hosted by Natalie G Music

Enjoy a festive evening of holiday tunes featuring the talented vocalist Mohamed Ben Khedda. Hosted by Natalie G Music, this event welcomes music lovers of all ages. Tickets are $20 by e-transfer or $25 at the door. Children under 7 attend for free.

Malton’s Aviation History (Nov. 9  to Jan. 31, 2025) 

Explore the rich aviation history of Malton, a key contributor to Mississauga’s growth over the past 50 years. This exhibition features rarely-seen photographs from the Museums of Mississauga’s historical collection, showcasing the people, places and planes that built Malton’s aviation legacy.

December 21

MCS Winter Magic

Experience the enchantment of winter at Celebration Square. Enjoy spectacular art installations, sparkling lights, and a skate on the city’s largest outdoor ice rink. Celebrate the season in the heart of Mississauga.

Skate Rental Prices for children (12 years & under) $10; Adult $15; Helmet Rental: $5; Skate Sharpening $10; Skate Aid: $10. Pricing is based on two hour rentals.

Out of the Vault – (Sept. 26 to Dec. 15)

The Bradley Museum will host an exhibition marking the City of Mississauga’s 50th anniversary. In celebration of this milestone, the Museums of Mississauga have hidden 50 artifact markers from their historic collection throughout the city as part of the History Hunt. These artifacts will be taken “out of the vault” and displayed at the museum.

Visitors are invited to explore the unique stories behind each artifact, offering a glimpse into Mississauga’s rich heritage over the past five decades.

December 22

A Charlie Brown Christmas

Relive the magic of the beloved 1965 Christmas special with the timeless soundtrack by Vince Guaraldi. Pianist/vocalist Carmen Spada and his trio, along with special guests, will perform classics like “Christmas Time is Here,” “Skating,” and the iconic “Linus & Lucy.”

Hope! A Gospel Christmas Celebration

Generation X Marks the Spot

Curated by Dayo Kefentse, this exhibition at the Bradley Museum explores the history of young Caribbean Canadians in Mississauga during the 1980s. Through an audio documentary and a new interview with former Peel Regional Police Deputy Chief Ingrid Pellew-Berkeley, the project examines the impact of the Black Action Defense Committee and the story of Michael Wade Lawson. It is funded by the BIPOC Community Curator Program.
