It looks like winter and spring are in a tug-of-war this week, with mild temperatures giving way to a colder weekend. However, that doesn’t mean you have to stay in—there’s lots happening in the city!

Take in a winter light display and skating session, or catch a comedy show. History buffs can explore local exhibitions, while music lovers have a throwback concert to look forward to. Plus, an antique market offers some unique finds.

February 28

MCS Winter Magic ((Nov. 23, 2024 – March 16, 2025)

Experience the enchantment of winter at Celebration Square. Enjoy spectacular art installations, sparkling lights, and a skate on the city’s largest outdoor ice rink.

Flag Raising: Black History Month

As part of the City’s Community Recognition Program, the Pan-African flag will be raised at Celebration Square to honour Black History Month. The program supports charities and non-profits in recognizing events that celebrate Mississauga’s diverse communities.

Celebrating Black Excellence

The City of Mississauga, in partnership with the Black Caucus Alliance, presents an evening recognizing the accomplishments of Mississauga’s Black community. The celebration features musical guests, keynote speakers and an awards ceremony.

Spirit Seeds (Feb.8 to Aug. 3)

Explore the intricate world of Indigenous beadwork in this exhibition curated by Naomi Smith, showcasing historical and contemporary pieces from the Woodlands and Great Lakes regions.

History Symposium 2025

Malton’s Aviation History (Nov. 9 to March 31, 2025)

The Sunday Antique Market

Formerly at St. Lawrence Market, this monthly antique and collectibles market features over 80 curated vendors from Ontario and Quebec.
