Situated in the waterfront community of Bronte at 2340 Ontario St, Duckies Dairy Bar has long been a beloved part of the local community.

The ice cream shop offers deliciously cold treats, savoury bites (such as hot dogs, fries and poutine), and gorgeous waterfront views that are a perfect go-to summer experience. Take a stroll around the harbour, catch a glimpse of paddle boarders, seadoos, boats and the marina, or enjoy the nearby parks and trails.

It’s also something of a hidden gem – located beside the Bronte Boathouse, the entrance to the store is at the back of the building facing Bronte harbour, making it under-the-radar but always well worth the visit.

Beyond the eye-catching menu, Duckies Dairy Bar combines the aesthetic of old-school ice cream parlours with a bright pink interior and tons of fun decor, making it one of the most vibrant and Instagrammable spots around.

The “legendairy” menu at Duckies Dairy Bar features a variety of ice cream flavours with your choice of toppings in a sugar or waffle cone, hot fudge, slushies, hot or iced coffee, cotton candy, and even savoury items like hot dogs, French fries, poutine, and chicken nuggets!

All of the delicious ice cream at Duckies comes from Central Smith, a family-owned dairy located just outside Peterborough. Founded all the way back in 1896, they specialize in premium ice cream in a variety of different flavours.

Duckies Dairy Bar is very community-focused, with a team composed mostly of young employees and high schoolers from the area, many of whom are happily working their very first job at Duckies.

The store has recently extended its hours and is now open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
