Three-act, multi-media show will raise funds for grief-stricken children in Oakville, Burlington

A dance, song and multi-media show that will raise money to support grief-stricken children is being held in Burlington.

Light Heavy Light is a three-act show performed by Burlington’s JJ Dance Arts that brings together an array of professional international talent at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre.

Through dance, song and multi-media, the show offers the audience the opportunity to contemplate the power in shifting perspective. It’s a performance that connects with all ages and reminds the audience of compassion, joy, and gratitude.

“It’s a beautiful way to close the year and show up for our local children and youth who are navigating the death of a significant person in their life,” said a press release from the organization.

All proceeds will be donated to Lighthouse for Grieving Children and Families, an Oakville-based charity that provides free, peer grief support for children and their families.

There will be three performances, Sunday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 19, at 2 and 7 p.m.

The seating is general admission and tickets cost $40, or $65 with a $25 tax receipt, or $100 wiwth a $60 tax receipt.
