Chinese takeout varies greatly in Toronto, from your local go-to spot on the corner to delivery from fancy restaurants. It’s well complemented by stir-fried egg noodles with large, juicy shrimp, or some soulful fried rice.

Dundas West is home to this restaurant that does some excellent takes on traditional Chinese takeout food. Noodles and chicken get the spotlight, but they also have some surprising star dishes like blistered, garlicky green beans. Mapo tofu and rice are also a great go-to for a soothing night in.
