Toronto just got a brand new shop dedicated to tanghulu, skewers of candy-coated fruit.
The treat might be relatively new to lots of people here in town, but it’s widely enjoyed in Asia. Now, a new Toronto shop called Tanghulu Tanghulu deals almost exclusively in the skewers.
The shop sells tanghulu in strawberry, green grape, pineapple and clementine varieties that sell for just under $6 per skewer. You can also bundle a strawberry skewer with two other varieties for $15.
In addition to the tanghulu, they also have “coco cups” that are basically just cups of chopped fruit with melted chocolate drizzled all over. Mixed fruit coco cups cost $10.99 and strawberry coco cups cost $11.99.
Tanghulu Tanghulu is also kicking things up a notch with an extra sweet offering that goes way beyond a sugary treat. Every time you purchase something from Tanghulu Tanghulu, you get a ballot to be entered into a Coco giveaway where they give away a Chanel wallet or other item every single month.
Tanghulu Tanghulu is now open at 252 Queen Street West.
